Senior Analyst, Category Leadership, Walmart

Work Location: ​Rogers​

Due to the highly interactive and team-based nature of this role, in-person attendance for most of the workweek (i.e., 3 days or more) is essential for: effective communication including during in-person meetings, strong supervision, real-time problem-solving, and participation in cross-functional initiatives.

The Sr. Analyst Category Leadership will support the Walmart Category Leadership team by identifying category opportunities through analyzing multiple data sources, tools, and analytics.  This position works with the Category Leadership team to analyze data and build planograms.

This role does require some business travel (10%).

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Use and understand Luminate and Circana/Nielsen to generate actionable insights that will help drive category insights, address issues, or capitalize on opportunities to close distribution and shelving gaps.
  • Leverage data to make planogram assortment recommendations and provide rationale for recommendations.
  • Use and understand JDA to support development of POGs.
  • Support the Sr Manager, Category Leadership prepare customer presentations.
  • Develop and manage project timelines

Experiences that will support your success

Bachelor’s Degree

  • 2-4 years of experience in consumer goods, preferably in Category Management
  • Experience using syndicated data sources (IRI, Nielsen, etc)
  • Experience using Space Management tools preferred
  • Working knowledge of retailer platforms is a plus
  • Strong project management abilities. 
  • High proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $88,000 - $122,000 annually.
