At Ferrara Candy Company (FCC), we’re looking for a passionate professional in Environment, Health, and Safety who is committed to making a positive impact on our organizational culture. The EEHS Manager will be responsible for strengthening and maintaining a strong safety, health, and environmental culture at all levels of the plant. This individual will work cross-functionally with different departments, using strong communication and influencing skills to promote a mindset focused on incident prevention, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in EHS performance. The ideal candidate will apply analytical tools and continuous improvement methodologies to reduce risks, enhance workplace conditions, promote sustainable practices, and ensure compliance with corporate and legal standards. All while driving a safety culture based on the “Zero Injuries” mindset (Drive to Zero Injuries).

Ways you will make a difference

  • Champion a strong safety culture across the facility, promoting the “Drive to Zero Injuries” mindset and ensuring alignment with corporate EHS standards.
  • Lead and support initiatives focused on injury prevention, environmental compliance, sustainability, and occupational health.
  • Provide training, coaching, and technical guidance to Managers, Supervisors, and employees to strengthen EHS knowledge and ownership.
  • Drive continuous improvement in EHS systems by analyzing data, identifying trends, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure that safety, health, and environmental requirements are integrated into daily operations and new projects.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Safety, Chemistry or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of EHS experience as EEHS manager in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
  • Knowledge of EHS management systems, regulatory compliance (local and federal), and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Familiarity with EHS management systems such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or OHSAS 18001
  • Proven experience delivering EHS training (DC-5 certification desirable).
  • Knowledge of radiological safety.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and supervising personnel.
  • Knowledge on BBS program
