Employee will support the tableting areas in maintaining tablet presses and other supporting equipment at established standards for personnel safety, food safety and performance.

RIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

OPERATIONAL TASKS:
•    Lubricates equipment in accordance with Maintenance procedures.
•    Washes down and cleans equipment assigned in area.
•    Assembles/disassembles equipment under the direction of a mechanic or Maintenance Supervisor.
•    Sets up tablet presses for operation (tooling changes).
•    Adjust tablet presses during operation to improve operation.
•    Washes and polishes tooling.
•    Observes the operation of the equipment and makes recommendations to the Maintenance Supervisor, i.e. bearings running hot.
•    Actively seeks to find problems in assigned area and corrects before the problems become critical (under close supervision).
•    Communicates conditions of equipment by: completing appropriate maintenance records, transferring knowledge of conditions to incoming mechanics or lubricators at shift change, and informing the supervisor of significant problems.
•    Displays cooperation by working closely with manufacturing personnel.
•    Improves work related skills by actively pursuing outside schooling or plant provided programs.
•    Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALITY:
Employee shall follow all required GMP, quality and food safety requirements. In addition, employee shall notify their supervisor or other designated personnel of all quality or food safety findings or incidents.


 

Skills that will make you successful

Required

PHigh School Diploma or GED
Forklift experience and ability to drive a forklift preferred
Basic computer skills
Must pass the Kenexa test with an 80% or higher score

Food manufacturing experience preferred.

SKILLS:
Hydraulic/Pneumatic: The ability to repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment and repair and maintain the operating condition of industrial production and processing machinery and equipment.
Machine Assembly and Repair: The ability to disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment or parts on major or complex equipment/system breakdowns.
Machine Trouble Shooting: The ability to identify problems, analyze test results, machine error messages, and information obtained from operators in order to diagnose equipment problems.
CMMS AMM Database: The ability to write notifications, work orders and technical feedback in SAP AMM database.
