General Labor 1st Shift 7am to 3pm

  • Adheres to all FCC established GMP’s
  • Assists anytime the line is in a scrap mode
  • Assists in other facets of production as needed
  • Works at different workstations as production needs require
  • Conducts assigned work in a safe manner and adheres to FCC safety methods
  • Ensures a quality product through regular visual checks
  • Responsible for escalating machine issues to Lead Operator
  • Inspects materials, products, and containers at each step of packaging process
  • Responsible for proper packaging of all finished goods
  • Responsible for verifying and executing pallet patterns where applicable

QUALITY:

Employee shall follow all required GMP, quality and food safety requirements. In addition, employee shall notify their supervisor or other designated personnel of all quality or food safety findings or incidents.

 

 

SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL:

Employee shall follow Ferrara-Itasca’s safety & environmental objectives & targets, follow the plant safety rules, report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately, maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs.

Skills that will make you successful

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, and keep up with the line speeds in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures
  • Ability to work scheduled shift and overtime as needed
  • Dependable and flexible when work is required in other facets of production. 
  • Promotes teamwork, possesses a good attitude, and exhibits flexibility and willingness to perform tasks as needed
  • Ensures compliance with SQF, and other relevant standards.

Experiences that will support your success

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, and the noise level in the environment is loud.

Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Food manufacturing experience is a plus.
