Operates and maintains Cartoner 9 equipment and supporting equipment at established standards for personnel safety, food safety and performance.

Ways you will make a difference

OPERATIONAL TASKS:

Perform quality checks on the line. The quality checks include but are not limited to entering weights and analyzing trends into ASI, packaging component.

checks, product mix and metal detection checks.

Ensure that the proper documentation is filled out daily and handed in at the end of your shift.

Uses verbal or written information to produce correct product and quantity. Starts up, shuts down processes in accordance to line that is being operated safely.

Will relieve for breaks and lunches in area of responsibility.

Must be able to operate all equipment on specific line or area.

Follow rework SOP at the end of the shift, by reworking product reclaimed.

Lifts material rolls and moves materials and rejects supplies, opening / closing of iris on hoppers.

Checks, controls, operates, adjusts, replenishes, cleans and clears jams for equipment on line such as scales, case packers, case sealers, glue pot, car

toners, paper jams, conveyor systems etc.

Will input information into computer systems using: SAP, ASI, SAMs, or other programs as required.

Receives shift instructions from shift leaders, and reviews the state and needs of the line upon beginning of shift while passing on information as shared

by previous shift others.

Orders, maintains, replenishes, and returns production materials from the packaging floor.

Set-up machines for next shift and complete changeovers as needed. Assure all material is covered.

Adjust for registration; make corrections to code dater, clean glue heads. Maintain clean work area utilizing daily GMP checklists.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALITY:
Employee shall follow all required GMP, quality and food safety requirements. In addition, employee shall notify their supervisor or other designated personnel of
all quality or food safety findings or incidents.
Employee shall perform required PRP job functions to do so according to the related factory procedure, including, but not limited to, initiating corrective actions when deviations occur.

SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL:
Employee shall follow Ferrara-Itasca’s safety & environmental objectives & targets, follow the plant safety rules, report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately,
maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety & Environmental Management System(s) on all related procedures and programs

Skills that will make you successful

REQUIREMENTS & MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
High School Diploma Preferred.
Basic math and computer skills.

SKILLS:
Math: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Fractions
Reading & Writing: Ability to read technical written material and to communicate via written material
Computer literacy: Knowledge of navigation and inputting
