- The storeroom clerk is responsible for managing and organizing inventory in a storeroom setting.
Ways you will make a difference
Track accuracy of inventory in Parts Room
Create company part numbers and designated locations for materials
Receive materials and check accuracy of received goods
Create CMMS (Maximo) purchase request
Support the Buyer Coordinator with receiving and ordering inventory
Ability to create spread sheets and tracking forms for inventory
Skills that will make you successful
Must have data entry skills with proficiency in MS Word and ability to perform mathematical computations. Ability to read and interpret schematics, mechanical drawings, parts catalogs, and technical manuals. Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills for interaction with vendors and co-workers. Must be able to frequently lift up to 40 pounds while performing all motions necessary to stock and dispense parts and tools from shelves.
Experiences that will support your success
High school graduate with vocational training or equivalent work experience.
This position requires knowledge and awareness of manufacturing and industrial sites. Protective gear such as ear plugs, steel toe shoes and safety glasses will be required where appropriate.
