Quality Technican 1st shift

Work Location: ​Forest Park​

Position requires ability to work overtime. As a result, it may require working varying start times, end times, and weekends dependent on business needs.  
 

Core Hours: 4am-4:30pm

The Quality Technician, reporting to the Quality Supervisor is a results-driven professional with a proactive, self-starting mindset and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced production environments. Committed to ensuring product quality, safety, and compliance by strictly following established guidelines and regulations. Effectively communicates quality concerns and production issues to maintain alignment across teams and support continuous improvement. 
 

Ways you will make a difference

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Perform quality checks, conduct testing, and carry out tasks in a safe manner while following Ferrara safety methods  
  • Critical Control Point Checks, daily weight checks of packaging materials  
  • ATP/Allergen Swab testing, environmental swabbing 
  • Participate in GMP audits 
  • Conduct inspections as needed, review packaging paperwork, conduct daily checks, perform plant walk-throughs 
  • Review out-of-specification products when necessary 
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, and additional duties as assigned

Skills that will make you successful

  • Promotes efficiency and safety by maintaining a clean and well-organized work environment 
  • Strong computer skills and comfortable with technology 
  • Promotes teamwork, possess a good attitude, and exhibits flexibility and willingness to perform tasks as needed
  • Ensures compliance with FSSC, Organic, GFCO, and other relevant standards
  • Ability to read, write and speak English

Experiences that will support your success

  • 1 year of quality experience within a food manufacturing environment is highly preferred
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience

Compensation

The salary for this role is $27.00 per hour.
