The Sr. Manager, Retail Operations leader will direct the Jelly Belly Visitor Center in Fairfield, CA, including retail operations, public tours, food service, and event hosting by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. The leader will be responsible for the overall management, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
Ways you will make a difference
- Oversees Retail and Cafe Managers regarding preparation of work schedules and staffing issues.
- Under the guidance of Brand Marketing leadership, develops retail strategy, including merchandise pricing policies, to meet profitability objectives for store operations.
- Coordinates sales promotion activities and prepares, or directs the preparation of, merchandise displays and advertising copy.
- As needed, assists with supervision of employees engaged in sales work, taking of inventories, reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping operating records, or preparing daily record of transactions for Accountant, or performs work of subordinates.
- Partners closely with the Jelly Belly Visitor Center catering, banquet, and logistics teams to plan and execute public facing events, both open and ticketed, as well as private events. Serves as a primary point of contact for external partners and provides strategic leadership to ensure successful event delivery.
- Assists Retail and Cafe Managers regarding ordering merchandise.
- Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales, and recordkeeping procedures and practices.
- Answers customer's complaints or inquiries.
- Locks and secures store, as needed.
Skills that will make you successful
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.); or 7 to 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experiences that will support your success
- Experience in managing subordinate supervisors who supervise teams of over 40 employees.
- Experience in interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Compensation
The salary range for this role is $125,875 - $176,225 annually.
