Storeroom Clerk, 1st shift

Work Location: ​FAIRFIELD​

Position requires the ability to work overtime.

Core hours: 6:00am-3:00pm

The Storeroom Clerk plays a key role in ensuring the plant’s maintenance and production operations run efficiently by managing spare parts, tools, and inventory transactions within the maintenance storeroom. Reporting to the Storeroom Supervisor, the Storeroom Clerk is responsible for accurate inventory tracking, timely material issuance, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized storeroom environment.

Ways you will make a difference

  • Receive, verify, label, and store incoming MRO materials, parts, and tools according to standard operating procedures 
  • Accurately issue and document parts requests to Maintenance and Production personnel 
  • Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors of low or out-of-stock items 
  • Use SAP and other inventory systems to maintain accurate transaction and inventory records 
  • Perform daily cycle counts and assist with periodic physical inventories 
  • Ensure storeroom cleanliness and organization in alignment with 5S and safety standards 
  • Assist in identifying obsolete or slow-moving inventory for review 
  • Pre-kit parts for upcoming maintenance job plans and ensure all parts are on-hand 
  • Support maintenance team by locating critical spare parts promptly and accurately

Experiences that will support your success

  • 1-2 years of experience in storeroom, inventory, warehouse, or maintenance support roles within a manufacturing environment 
  • Experience working with SAP or similar ERP system strongly preferred 
  • Familiarity with MRO (maintenance, repair, operations), materials and parts numbers is a plus 
  • Experience working in a GMP or safety-regulated industry is beneficial 
  • Computer skills and experience in Microsoft Office Suite

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $23.90 per hour.
