eCommerce Marketing Manager, Content & Capabilities

The eCommerce Marketing Manager will drive content marketing strategy and implementation across all eCommerce customers and for all brands. This individual will be responsible for leading content development for eCommerce customers including campaigns and product content. They will also play a critical role in identifying new capabilities and resources needed to accelerate channel growth for the future of omnichannel sales at Ferrara.

This person will report into the Director of Digital Content and Capabilities with majority of additional exposure to Brand Marketing, Sales, and IT functions at Ferrara
 

Ways you will make a difference

  • Own, develop and manage best-in-class eCommerce content marketing strategy across all eCommerce retailers to help meet business objectives delivering high engagement, best-in-class consumer experience and successful conversion 
  • Understand and represent brand priorities, consumer and customer needs unique to eCommerce channels and translate them into actionable creative assets 
  • Articulate best-in-class eCommerce content (visual, copy, UX, etc.) by using data and market/competitor analysis to drive decisions and to optimize future content placements, briefs and work 
  • Develop and maintain the content calendar and team roles and responsibilities
  • Identify areas to improve and identify opportunities for content improvements to drive additional sales
  • Partner with IT and cross-functional teams to build and maintain our PIM/DAM connections to help improve content syndication
  • Conduct content-focused tests to improve content quality and performance that can be leveraged at larger scale across brands
  • Establish a framework for recurring performance analysis (including KPIs) and reporting, evaluate performance to inform content optimization and contribution to online sales 
  • Develop and maintain professional knowledge of new or emerging trends about content that drive consumer engagement on digital commerce and provide direction on how to leverage those trends to improve content quality and increase conversion and sales
  • Work cross-functionally to identify opportunities where eCommerce capabilities can be leveraged and gain buy-in from senior stakeholders to implement solutions and gain additional resources (headcount, funding, etc.)
  • Seeks out new platforms and tools to sharpen and speed up the evaluation of eCommerce marketing effectiveness
  • Turn analytical insights into action for optimized business performance 
  • Establish processes with cross-functional teams to build in-depth knowledge of business objectives to identify and develop growth opportunities at brand, category, and portfolio level
  • Agency management: content development projects (internal and external)
  • Improve and enhance the use of content tools Salsify, Syndigo, DAM, Data Impact etc. to execute content updates as needed
  • Partner with Brand on when to implement sampling programs to gain Ratings and Reviews for our priority products (BazaarVoice, Amazon Vine, etc.)
  • Research and identify opportunities to drive efficiency through unlocking capabilities
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures
  • Understand and demonstrates the Company’s core values
  • Perform other duties as assigned
     

Skills that will make you successful

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and digital content specs and syndication
  • Experience using content syndication and maintenance platforms (Salsify, Syndigo, PromoteIQ, Widen, etc.)
  • Strong analytical background to support a test and learn approach while continually evolving and optimizing campaigns for business value
  • A track record of successfully collaborating with cross-functional business partners
  • Strong ownership for results and how those results are achieved for self and team
  • Must be detail oriented with a bias towards action (self-starter) and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Ability to work within a team as well as independently with limited supervision

Experiences that will support your success

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years’ experience in CPG eCommerce marketing or eCommerce preferred
  • Skilled project manager with experience in strategic planning and execution
  • Hands on keyboard experience in content syndication and tracking tools (like Salsify)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in SQL and Excel, including Macros, V-Lookups and Pivot Tables
