Sr. Supply Planner

Due to the highly interactive and team-based nature of this role, in-person attendance for most of the workweek (i.e., 3 days or more) is essential for: effective communication including during in-person meetings, strong supervision, real-time problem-solving, and participation in cross-functional initiatives.

This position is responsible for supporting management of the supply and production planning for a production location(s) at Ferrara Candy Company. This position owns the mid-term planning horizon, working cross functionally to understand demand, timing issues, and capacity requirements impacting the everyday and seasonal portfolios. You will work with multiple plant schedulers and other cross functional areas to assure optimal service balanced with working capital, sourcing strategy, and obsolescence targets.
Ways you will make a difference
- Creates and maintains a supply plan(s) for weeks 5-78 that adheres to service, working capital, sourcing strategy, and obsolescence targets while respecting capacity, run mode, and other known constraints
- Engages in Integrated Business Planning by delivering above plan, quantifying and highlighting risks in the short (0-3 month) and mid-term (4-18 month) horizons
- Provides regular status updates to management in weekly meetings on adherence to plan, root cause of delays, risks, and options/tradeoffs/recommendations to minimize impact
- Partners with and provides prioritization/guidance to finite scheduler(s) and plant(s) in scheduling horizon
- Communicates effectively and proactively with stakeholders and collaborators
- Investigates planning failures, identifying issues and prescribes appropriate correction
- Actively participates in Commercialization process and corresponding meetings
- Leads Root Cause Corrective Action, working cross-functionally to deliver resolution
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Some travel may be required, potentially internationally

Experiences that will support your success
- BA/BS; in quantitative majors preferred (i.e., Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Statistics, Operations Management, Economics, Business, Logistics)
- 3+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Operations Management, or related position, i.e., Business, Logistics
- High levels of familiarity with MS Office Suite (particularly Excel/PowerPoint), SAP (S4, IBP), and Power BI
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred

Compensation
The salary range for this role is $81,225 - $113,715 annually.
