As Senior Manager Regulatory, you will play a pivotal leadership role in ensuring local & global regulatory compliance across our expansive portfolio. You’ll guide product innovation and market expansion by navigating complex regulations, enabling compliant and successful product launches, and help shaping regulatory strategy. In addition to regulatory execution, you’ll drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance regulatory processes, systems, and documentation — contributing to broader Quality function excellence and operational efficiency.

Global Regulatory Vision and Impact:  Drive the execution of long-term regulatory strategies and global growth priorities defined by and aligned with the Director of Global Regulatory. Act as a strategic partner to R&D, Legal, and Commercial teams by enabling compliant market access and guiding the business through evolving regulatory frameworks in priority markets like the EU, APAC, Canada, and emerging economies.
End-to-End Commercialization Compliance: Oversee team execution across the full product development lifecycle — from raw material and recipe assessments to labeling, claims, finished label spec development, and packaging approvals. Drive cross-functional alignment with R&D, Marketing, Legal, and Quality to proactively manage risk and enable compliant, on-time global launches.
Ingredient and Innovation Strategy: Collaborate with R&D and Product Development teams to assess the regulatory feasibility of novel ingredients and formulations. Influence innovation pipelines by proactively identifying compliance barriers and solutions early in development.
Marketing and Claims Review Governance: Own the process for substantiating and approving product claims across multiple regions. Partner with Legal, Marketing, and Product Development to ensure claims are compliant, competitive, and aligned with local regulatory expectations and consumer trust.
People Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing regulatory team (2 direct, 9 total reports). Foster capability building, regulatory excellence, and a culture of ownership and accountability.
Regulatory Escalation & Risk Resolution: Serve as the regulatory escalation point for high-risk or ambiguous issues involving product deviations, labeling errors, or evolving compliance requirements. Lead cross-functional resolution efforts with Legal, R&D, Quality, and Commercial teams to ensure timely, compliant outcomes that balance regulatory integrity with business needs.
Regulatory Integration Governance and Oversight: Drive post-acquisition regulatory harmonization by overseeing the integration of acquired regulatory teams, processes, and product documentation. Establish governance frameworks to ensure consistency in compliance practices across global markets.
Financial Stewardship: Manage regulatory spending within defined budgets to support market readiness, and efficient compliance operations, while identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization.

Experiences that will support your success

Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in food science, nutrition, regulatory affairs or a related field
Experience: 7-10 years of regulatory experience in the CPG or food industry; direct experience with international regulations preferred. Plant operations experience or knowledge of manufacturing process preferred
Certifications: HACCP, FSMA PCQI and GFSI (BRC, ISO, or SQF) preferred
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with SAP PLM, strong skills in interpreting food laws and compliance

Compensation

$112,425 to $157,395 annually
