Sr. Analyst Sales Finance

Work Location: ​Chicago​

Due to the highly interactive and team-based nature of this role, in-person attendance for most of the workweek (i.e., 3 days or more) is essential for: effective communication including during in-person meetings, strong supervision, real-time problem-solving, and participation in cross-functional initiatives.

The purpose of this position is act as the primary Finance contact for the Field Sales teams with responsibilities spanning both the Sugar and Fruit Snacks business units. As the Senior Financial Analyst on these accounts, they are the core Finance contact responsible for providing the financial expertise, analysis, and recommendations that enable efficient and effective decision-making within the business.

This role is responsible for the execution, analysis, and preparation of period close, incremental funding requests, forecast analysis, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and ad hoc financial analysis to support the growth and strategic decision making of the business. This role works closely with the Field Sales, PRGM Strategy, Sales Strategy, Brand Finance and others in the development and execution of business plans to ensure delivery of net sales targets and profitable growth of our business.

Ways you will make a difference

  • Provide customer insight and analysis into drivers of change for key metrics: volume, price, margin and profitability by brand and/or pack-type
  • Identify any fluctuations between the plan/forecast and actual sales trend, communicate with the sales team and develop solutions to drive sales
  • Provide insights and analytics and work alongside Revenue Management to help the sales teams develop robust customer programming that delivers against AOP metrics and accurate business forecasts
  • Execute trade management and support analysis for pricing events and promotions
  • Communicate internally the status of all deductions via trade system
  • Provide insights and analytics to Sr. Leadership to evaluate in-month and current quarter shipment estimates
  • Execute net revenue and profitability analysis for incremental funding requests
  • Assist with ad-hoc and cross-functional projects as required
  • Eagerness to learn new skills and tools as needed to streamline work

Experiences that will support your success

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with CPG preferred
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Proficient Excel skills preferred
  • SAP and/or High Radius experience is a plus

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $81,225 - $113,715 annually.
