Sr. Analyst, Distribution Analytics
Work Location: Chicago
Due to the highly interactive and team-based nature of this role, in-person attendance for most of the workweek (i.e., 3 days or more) is essential for: effective communication including during in-person meetings, strong supervision, real-time problem-solving, and participation in cross-functional initiatives.
This position may require up to 20% local and non-local travel to greater Chicago-land sites, cross-country sites and Mexico. Protective gear will be required where appropriate. Position requires ability to work varying start times and weekends dependent on business needs.

The Sr. Distribution Center Analyst will play a critical role in optimizing and managing distribution center operations. You will be responsible for providing analytical and operational support to optimize the supply chain, manage inventory and fulfillment, and resolve issues by analyzing data. The role will require you to work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners. The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in data tools, effective communication and the ability to translate data into actionable strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency within the distribution and logistics operations.
Ways you will make a difference
- Collaborate with 3PL partners to ensure optimal performance, identify areas of improvement in operations, and monitor performance against contracted KPIs such as inventory accuracy, on-time loading and unloading, and shrinkage.
- Analyze customer return and claim data to determine root causes, customer and fulfillment trends, and generate action plans to address ongoing issues
- Coordinate between network optimization, 3PL partners, transportation, and sibling entities to ensure the proper distribution plan during the tactical horizon.
- Assist in the execution and implementation of automation projects aimed at streamlining distribution center processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and procurement, to ensure alignment on distribution strategies and cost-saving initiatives.
- Generate actionable insights through data analysis and reporting to help drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in network optimization activities, focusing on how to better structure the distribution network and reduce costs.
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure distribution-related processes are meeting business goals.
- Be a backup resource for reconciling inventory between SAP & the 3PL WMS systems. Monitor and resolve integration errors to ensure inventory is aligned between both systems.

- Warehouse Management System (WMS): Experience with WMS is preferred, including system troubleshooting and optimization.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment, particularly in automation and process improvements.
- Process Improvement: Knowledge of lean principles and process improvement methodologies to drive operational efficiencies.
- Business Acumen: Understanding of distribution center operations, cost management, and logistics processes.
Experiences that will support your success
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in distribution, supply chain, or logistics or analytics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required; experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools is a plus.
- Experience with data analysis, interpretation and building visualization tools.
- Experience collaborating with internal & external partners and cross-functional teams is desirable.
- Proven capability to manage and implement change management programs.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $80,325 to $112,455 annually.
