Sr. Account Executive, Dollar General

Reporting to the Value Channel Director, the Sr. Account Executive will plan, develop, and implement business initiatives to drive sustainable profitable growth for Ferrara. They will not only drive top line results but be responsible for the P&L as it relates to their areas of responsibility. They will work in conjunction with the entire Value team and cross functional partners to achieve and exceed company objectives and priorities. They will be directly responsible for the Seasonal Business along with the Fruit Snack Line of Business. They will be the primary liaison to Dollar General for those areas of responsibility. In addition, they will be responsible for assisting the Everyday Confection business for both Front and Back of Store taking direction from the Director and the Customer Business Lead. 

This is a fully remote role - candidates must be based in United States, near major airport, and will involve frequent (up to 25%) travel - primarily to Nashville, TN.

  • Responsible for creating ongoing support to Dollar General, ensuring they receive high quality customer service.
  • Implements business strategies to achieve profitable business relationships with Dollar General.
  • Possess detailed product knowledge as well as thorough knowledge of the client’s business.
  • Achieves/Exceeds revenue and profit growth targets at Dollar General for both Seasonal and Fruit Snack Lines of Business
  • Assists the Everyday Confection business for both Front and Back of Store to gain the integrated knowledge of how the account works and aligns for a cohesive strategy.
  • Establishes collaborative relationships, both internally and externally, to deliver results against specified strategic objectives.  
  • Responsible for retaining a long-term customer relationship with Dollar General.  
  • Develops and maintains effective business planning initiatives for current and anticipated needs.
  • Develops and implements a successful vision and strategy.
  • Leads the development and implementation of category driving initiatives.
  • Participates in department and interdepartmental planning and management teams and works cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization.
  • Develops, maintains and adheres to operating budgets and trade spending plans.
  • Develops and presents customer programs to multiple levels of management.
  • Demonstrates the ability to create, define and present contingency plans in order to maximize growth in both revenue and margin.
  • Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures.  
  • Understands and demonstrates the Company’s core values. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experiences that will support your success

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.  

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience within the confection industry.MBA certification or active progression preferred
  • Minimum of 5-year account management responsibility experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proficient knowledge of P&L and implications
  • This individual must reside in the US near a major airport and willing to frequent Nashville, TN as required to achieve results.
  • Consumables experience is preferred but not required. Confections experience a plus.
  • Team player who is willing to go the extra mile to achieve results.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $109,000 - $153,000 annually.
