The purpose of this position is to act as the primary Finance contact for the Transportation and Material Warehousing teams, supporting the entire domestic business. As the Senior Financial Analyst covering these P&L line items, they are the core Finance contact responsible for providing the financial expertise, analysis, and recommendations that enable efficient and effective decision-making within the business. This role is responsible for the execution, analysis, and preparation of period close, forecast analysis, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and ad hoc financial analysis to support the growth and strategic decision making of the business. This role works closely with Supply Chain, Accounting, FP&A and others in the development and execution of business plans to deliver EBIT targets and profitable growth of our business.

Ways you will make a difference

• Provide insight and analysis into drivers of change for key cost buckets: interplant freight, outbound freight, material warehousing
• Identify variances between the plan/forecast and actual costs, investigate drivers with Supply Chain counterparts
• Support the accounting team by performing month-end close responsibilities in a timely manner each month on Workdays 1-3. Tasks include posting journal entries, analyzing accruals / GL detail, and performing account reconciliations.
• Prepare month-end reporting decks and present results to Supply Chain leadership monthly
• Develop robust bottom-up Annual Operating Plan (AOP) while coordinating with Supply Chain to receive and validate various inputs on a shared timeline
• Own inputs into the live Rolling Forecast to signal expectations for next 18 mos.
• Summarize large quantities of data in Excel and share insights
• Assist with ad-hoc and cross-functional projects specifically with IT business partners to automate tasks
• Learn new skills and tools as needed to streamline and automate workstreams

Experiences that will support your success

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience with professional services, CPG, or corporate finance/accounting experience preferred
• High proficiency in MS Excel and Office Suite
• Proven work history in managing multiple project work streams and resources, owning business partner relationships, and delivering high quality outcomes while operating autonomously
• SAP / Oracle EPM experience is a plus
