Quality Manager

The Quality Manager provides leadership, direction, and oversight to the plant for quality and food safety.  This role exists to ensure the plant delivers the required standards of quality and food safety according to Ferrara policies, procedures, and practices.  The Quality Manager is also responsible for implementing and monitoring quality activities related to commercial logistics and points of sales quality.​

Responsible for holistic warehouse quality and food safety program direction and results 

​Direct the quality activities of the assigned plant/distribution site 

​Manages all Quality personnel 

​Manages contamination prevention programs 

​Investigates, acts, and resolves customer quality issues at all assigned locations 

​Develops and Manages quality KPI objectives  

​Provides Quality and Food Safety training 

​Implements product traceability improvements 

​Manages housekeeping improvements and inspection methods​ 

Skills that will make you successful

Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills

Auditing and assessment skills 

​Strong written and verbal communication skills  

​Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite 

​Knowledge of food laws and regulations 

​Understanding of basic food safety principles​ 

Experiences that will support your success

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, or Quality related field 

​Minimum 5 years management experience  

​Experience in food industry/CPG strongly preferred 

​HACCP Certification 

​FSMA, PCQI, GFSI certifications preferred​
