Responsible for the efficient operation of assigned area assuring minimal downtime through appropriate communication with maintenance department and supervisor.  Verify all paperwork is accurate to ensure reliable reporting

Ways you will make a difference

 

Ensure correct usage of raw material. Monitor performance of Mogul crew by ensuring adherence to all SOP’s. Adherence to all food safety, quality, and GMPs. Monitoring quality, food safety, sanitation, and employee safety performance to ensure compliance with established company standards. Communicate and follow up with Operators to ensure accurate production reporting. Promote employee safety by maintaining safe work conditions and focusing on behaviorbased safety. Ensure the execution of daily production schedule. Identify downtime issues and escalate in a timely minimize production downtime. Coordinate with Supervisor to ensure schedule attainment is met and/or exceeded. Ensure effective communication for work group with clear expectations and measurements for performance by using hourly updates on the line boards. Assure employee is qualified to run equipment, attain performance goals, and collaborate with supervisor. Accurately prepare production reports. Attend all required meetings: shift pass-on, green room meetings, and others as required by Supervisor. Report employee complaints, incidents or necessary disciplinary issues on a timely manner immediately to the supervisor. Coordinate with Supervisor on all employee performance issues. Monitor rotation of the product, on FIFO basis. Audit control points in processing and packaging (QAR). Be able to operate equipment according to prescribed procedures appropriate for the equipment line or department assigned to. This includes. Monitor HMI to ensure correct recipe in system. Monitor setting in computer panel as per standard operating conditions. Follow standard operating conditions and safety regulations. Monitor quality of product and equipment complies with the 31st St. plant standards. Identify and escalate issues immediately stopping equipment when needed. Be able to set up equipment and facilitate or execute equipment changeovers in a safe efficient manner. Work with Shift Coordinator and Production Supervisor anticipating the equipment set up and change over as needed Follow equipment set up, as well as instruct operators, on change-over checklist and procedures Identify improvements to make change over process more efficient Assist in developing training and reference materials for increase change over efficiencies to troubleshoot equipment operation Work closely with Operator to identify sources of low efficiency or downtime and develop action plan, involve others as needed identify and help develop areas of opportunity to improve operator or maintenance procedures to reduce downtime. Must be able to train others, be a mentor to fellow employees and new employees to the area. Help to develop training curriculum for new employees, and to improve any existing training materials. Be willing to learn new equipment and act as a mentor on new equipment to other employees as needed. Perform safety inspections in respective areas of operations Must have knowledge of in-process equipment functions, possess analysis problem assessment, attention to detail, data accuracy in recording of data. Must be able to work a full work schedule and overtime as needed.
