Financial Analyst, Corporate Accounting

The Financial Analyst, Corporate Accounting plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of Ferrara’s financial reporting. As part of the Corporate Accounting & Consolidations team, you will contribute directly to the monthly close process and support the delivery of reliable financial results across the company’s business units.
In this role, you will be hands-on in executing close activities—preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and analyzing financial results to ensure completeness and accuracy. You will work with large, complex data sets and collaborate with cross-functional partners across Finance and the broader organization to resolve discrepancies and maintain strong financial controls.
Beyond execution, this role offers the opportunity to build deep expertise in corporate accounting while developing a strong understanding of the business. You’ll be encouraged to identify process improvements, enhance reporting accuracy, and contribute to a more efficient and streamlined close process.

Ways you will make a difference
- Supports the Company’s S4/HANA implementation journey, as needed
- Monitor intercompany and related party activities and providing summarized reporting for business partners
- Join monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reviews
- Analyze financial statement activity to proactively identify opportunities or risk to facilitate overall accuracy of financial records
- Create and maintain data developed metrics, analyses, and report formats to facilitate accuracy of balance sheet accruals and analyze budget variances and business trends
- Development of new processes and control improvements as needed by the business to support growth, strategy shifts, and/or continuous improvement initiatives
- Responsible for the execution of month end close steps including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage communications with external auditors on external financial statements and accounting issues to ensure auditor agreement with company decisions on accounting disclosures, and issues
- Partners functionally to manage the licensing and commissions agreements
- Submits monthly rent payments for property and equipment leases to AP
- Analyzes at prepaid rent agreements
- Leads any new areas with the Jelly Belly migration, including (but not limited to) the Company Store

Experiences that will support your success
- Bachelor's degree with 1-2 Years of accounting experience
- CPA certification preferred
- Accounting experience across multiple areas, preferably with manufacturing or consumer products companies
- Public accounting, preferably Big 4 or large regional firm, experience a plus
- High proficiency in MS Excel and Office Suite
- SAP (including S4/HANA) and Oracle EPM / FCCS experience a plus
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- US GAAP and IFRS experience preferred

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $68,625 to $96,075 annually.
