Director, Retail Broker Management

The Director, Retail Broker Management will lead the strategic oversight and performance management of six retail broker partners across the Convenience, Grocery, and Walmart channels. This role is critical in driving executional excellence, delivering key performance indicators (KPIs), and maximizing return on investment (ROI) through effective broker engagement, segmentation strategy, and a possibility mindset.

This is a fully remote role, can be based in any US location near a major aiport.  This role will require regular travel (30%).

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive retail strategy that aligns with Ferrara’s growth objectives and brand priorities.
  • Use segmentation to prioritize investment in high-potential markets and customers, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • Lead and manage six retail broker partners, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance
  • Deliver results through others by setting clear expectations, providing strategic direction, and enabling broker success
  • Drive flawless in-store execution across channels, with a focus on on-shelf availability, showstopping displays, and promotional compliance.
  • Champion a culture of excellence and continuous improvement across all broker partners
  • Establish and manage broker scorecards with KPIs tied to distribution, display execution, promotional lift, and ROI.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement corrective actions to ensure delivery of business objectives.
  • Leverage advanced data analytics and syndicated data to uncover insights, track performance, and inform strategic decisions.
  • Use data to identify growth opportunities, optimize trade spend, and enhance retail execution.
  • Partner with Customer Development, Trade Marketing, and Finance to align on strategy and optimize retail investment
  • Support innovation launches and seasonal programs with tailored retail activation plans.
  • Inspire a forward-thinking, solutions-oriented mindset across broker teams to unlock new ways of winning at retail.
  • Encourage creative problem-solving and bold thinking to elevate Ferrara’s presence in-store.
  • Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Understands and demonstrates the Company’s core values.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills that will make you successful

  • Proven ability to lead through others and deliver results in a matrixed environment.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with data analytics tools and syndicated data platforms (e.g., Circana, Scintilla, MSA).
  • Deep knowledge of Grocery, Convenience, and Walmart retail environments.

Experiences that will support your success

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in CPG sales, with at least 5 years managing retail broker relationships.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $132,000 - $198,000 annually.
