Director, International Indirect Sales

Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Int’l  Sales Strategy & Indirect Sales, the Director of International Indirect Sales will be charged with managing and growing relationships with distributors across markets, leveraging a structured approach.  Primary responsibilities include defining growing the Ferrara indirect business, both in volume and resiliency to foster strong and predictable growth.

 

The role is based in Chicago, Illinois and will require 25-30% travel.

Ways you will make a difference

 

  • Distributor Growth & Monitoring
    • Defines and implements KPI to measure and keep distributor performance under control
    • Defines the key reports & cadence to get data from master distributors and use it to gain insights that will allow both Ferrara and the master distributors to grow in a healthy, sustainable way 
    • Works with master distributors to identify opportunities to grow the business, and with local distributors to implement that growth

 

  • Distribution Transformation / Development
    • Contributes in distribution transformational projects to improve distribution quality (e.g. market coverage, sales & distribution tools, incentives, trade) in 12 focus markets
    • Collects and shares distribution best practices across the markets

 

  • Manage and Develop the Indirect Business
    • Manage and optimize the P&L to reach the budget objectives
    • Develop a portfolio approach to focus on the key brands and SKUs

  • Fluency in Spanish (preferred, not required)

Experiences that will support your success

  • Bachelors degree, MBA preferred
  • 10-15+ years experience in indirect sales with distributor(s)
  • Distributors’ Management including reporting, trade incentives & pricing strategy
  • CPG industry expertise required with a preference in fast moving consumer goods.
  • Experience working on international, multicultural projects
