Director, Digital Content and Capabilities

We are looking for a strong, entrepreneurial person to lead our Digital Content and Capabilities team.  In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team to develop and maintain best-in-class product and marketing content across eCommerce retailer websites.  Additionally, you will oversee developing the eCommerce portfolio strategy and commercializing relevant new items.

Reporting to the VP of eCommerce you will play a critical role in the success of our fast-growing eCommerce business, helping to drive sales, brand identity, customer satisfaction and delivering omnichannel goals. In this role, you will oversee two managers. 
 

Ways you will make a difference

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Ecommerce content best practices, benchmarking, content creation, publication, distribution and auditing.
  • Develop company standards for core digital commerce product content requirements and lead the development of eCommerce activation guidelines & recommendations. 
  • Maintain and update content on retailer’s sites based on retailer standards while identifying and leveraging best practices to drive search and conversion.
  • Conduct SEO analysis to understand the critical keywords and key phrases that must be leveraged within our product content.
  • Identify and test new vendors and capabilities to drive improved search and conversion results.
  • Build strong relationships with retailer’s digital site merch and appropriate sales leads. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop a cohesive portfolio strategy that aligns with Ferrara and eCommerce objectives, as well as ensure that we have an effective and well aligned product content process, 
  • Identify and commercialize relevant skus

  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, meet tight deadlines and work independently
  • Working knowledge of content management processes, content development and SEO principals
     

Experiences that will support your success

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years’ experience in eCommerce related roles, including 2+ in digital content development.
  • Experience with Digital Auditing Tools (Profitero, Nielsen Digital Shelf) 
  • Experience with Retailer Syndication networks and Salsify
  • Previous management experience a plus
