Broker Manager - Meijer

The Broker Manger will plan, develop, and lead key growth initiatives by collaborating with the various Broker Partners who are the Customer Facing Leads in the various marketplaces (Carlin).  In addition, the Broker Manger will work closely with cross-functional areas of the company (SSCM, Sales Finance, Demand Team, etc.) to achieve Ferrara sales objectives and priorities within the given published performance guidelines (PPR’s) and Trade Budgets. Position reports to Sr Director of Grocery East.

  • Possess detailed product knowledge as well as thorough knowledge of business objectives to effectively communicate and lead Broker Teams for success.
  • Establish collaborative relationships, both internally and externally, to deliver results against agreed upon strategic objectives. 
  • Penetrate Key Customers with strategic planning to unlock incremental regional specific growth opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain effective business planning initiatives for current and anticipated needs.
  • Participate in department and with interdepartmental planning and management teams and work cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization.
  • Demonstrate the ability to create, define and present contingency plans to maximize net profit growth.
  • Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Understands and demonstrates the Company’s core values.

Experiences that will support your success

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience within the confection industry
  • Minimum of 4 years of sales account responsibility experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years Grocery Channel sales experience is preferred.
  • Location: Flexible but located within territory (MI) or Chicago. 
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Consumables experience is preferred but not required. Confections experience a plus
  • Ability to travel as required to achieve results.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $150,000 annually.
