Broker Manager, C-Store

The Broker Manager, C-Store oversees the activities of an outsourced broker sales force.  Collaborating with Ferrara customer teams, the Broker Manager, C-Store ensures that short and long-term performance objectives are achieved at all assigned outlets. The Broker Manager, C-Store has responsibility for leading all merchandising and call coverage objectives for all Broker assigned retail outlets within their geographic area.  Ongoing daily activities include providing timely and clear communication of all objectives, product training, analysis and problem solving, conducting store audits and business reviews.  

Ways you will make a difference

Broker Management 

  • Leads, directs, and motivates broker sales force to achieve performance objectives and deliver a positive return on investment
  • Monitors and assesses broker performance to achieve desired results through observation of work, work with’s and analysis of business results
  • Conducts routine market visits and timely audits to assess performance and manage results
  • Develops and communicates action plans with broker complete with clear directives and measurable expectations
  • Provides broker personnel with product and customer knowledge enabling associates to deliver expected results

Planning, Business Analytics, and Problem Solving 

  • Analyzes and continuously assesses progress in meeting goals and adjusts activities as needed
  • Develops customized incentive programming to drive enhanced results
  • Manages expenditure of financial resources in a fiscally responsible manner
  • Assesses coverage plans and frequencies to validate high impact stores 
  • Participates in the development of annual Customer Plans
  • Assesses key item distribution opportunity/omission following POG refresh or revision 
  • Flawless coordination and facilitation of ongoing leadership market visits

Communication

  • Communicates market conditions, retail observations and audit results with Broker Management and Customer Teams in the local market
  • Develops proper relations and rapport with store managers, district managers, store operations personnel and personnel within territory
  • Develops collaborative relationships with customer teams in local market

Experiences that will support your success

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or related field
  • 2-3 years of retail sales experience 
  • 1-2 years of broker or account management preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with Syndicated/POS data a plus
