First Shift Opportunities! 6:00 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.!
- Skills in operating electric or manual pallet jacks.
- Ability to pull pallets.
- Ability to move empty Chep pallets
- Configure pallets in accordance with appropriate patterns.
- Document and track usage of hand jacks and follow battery charging cycle.
- Report any issues with units to Supervisor.
- Recognize incorrect and/or defective product and report to Supervisor immediately.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., in order to dump candy on conveyor belts
- Inspect and pick when tray dumping.
- Remove foreign materials and or cross contamination.
- Document weights and counts accurately during rework process.
- Recognize quality issues, take proper action to correct them and notify Production Supervisor.
- Collect overflow cartons when needed.
- Perform other duties in the plant as requested to meet production efficiencies.
- Follow safety regulations and maintain compliance of Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Assist in cleanup as assigned or needed and maintain work area clean.
- Must be able to pack pouches in cartons in Handline. (manually at fast paced)
- In the absence of the Machine Operator you must perform the following duties: Load carton magazine. Re-dump collected pouches back onto the accumulating conveyor. Re-pack rejected cartons with proper amounts of pouches, resend and put back on line.
- Must comply with all applicable food laws, regulations and food safety requirements.
- Must comply with Company Policies, as well as, promotes safety and safe work conditions. Work overtime as needed including weekends. Perform related duties as assigned or required
Skills that will make you successful
Willingness and ability to perform duties described above. Experience performing such duties preferred.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, twist, stand, bend, climb, stoop, squat, kneel stand, crouch, handle, walk, reach, push, and lift overhead.
Able to recognize quality issues and take proper action to correct them. Must have good attendance record and follow instructions carefully and thoroughly.
Must be able to understand Production schedule and equipment output capability.
Ability to respond quickly to new situations and new tasks.
Basic math skills.
Must be able to tolerate dust, noise, odors and fluctuation of temperature.
