Maintenance Planner

Responsible for reducing maintenance costs and improving equipment reliability by facilitating and championing the maintenance strategy of the reliability centered maintenance (RCM) program. Improve work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. Help develop an efficient and productive maintenance team.

Major Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Screen incoming work orders, identify scopes of jobs, and analyze required levels of planning. Apply engineering principles to detailed job plans and back-up plans.
Manage data in and report from the plant CMMS system including:
Conversion of work requests to work orders ensuring accuracy of work orders with supervisors.
Management of work backlogs (planned and unplanned).
Creation of PM task lists and maintenance plans to assist in job planning.
Closures of completed work orders.
Maintenance of all safety notifications.
Build and maintain relationships effective internal relationships.
Estimate the skills and labor hours needed to perform new work order requests by coordinating with supervisors.
Determine if work will be performed with internal resources or if the work will be contracted to an outside vendor. Arrange and track equipment by OEM or third party providers.
Prepare and review weekly schedule with maintenance management.
Develop Preventive Maintenance Plans (e.g., thermography, vibration reports, oil analysis) with supervisors.
Assist the failure analysis effort by helping implement corrective actions that are needed to prevent reoccurrence of equipment failure.
Investigate the feasibility of redesigning systems in which reoccurring equipment problems exist.
Maintain the plant Preventive Maintenance Program by predictive and preventative maintenance scheduling.
Ensure that warehouse stock items are available and reserved for planned jobs; order replacement parts timely.
Participate in budget preparation and administration.
Fill in for Maintenance Supervisors as required and assist with equipment repairs and research.
Assist the Safety Manager in the development, implementation, and enforcement of all plant safety and housekeeping programs.
Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Extensive knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance techniques.
Skilled in PM/PdM manipulation/creation.
Expert level project management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
Critical thinking to approach problems and seek alternative solutions.
Experiences that will support your success
Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
Experience in FMEA, RCFA required
Experience in utilizing CMMS systems (Infer or Maximo) preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to walk and/or stand for prolonged periods; ability to bend, stoop and reach.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $80,325 to $112,455 annually.
